The Amarnath Yatra is a revered pilgrimage that takes devotees to the sacred Amarnath Cave in the Himalayas of Jammu and Kashmir, India. This spiritual journey is undertaken to worship the naturally occurring ice Shivlinga, symbolizing Lord Shiva. The cave, situated at an altitude of 3,888 meters, is accessible via two main routes: the traditional 45-kilometer Pahalgam route and the shorter but steeper 14-kilometer Baltal route. The Yatra, usually conducted during the summer months of July and August, coincides with the festival of Shravani Mela. Pilgrims endure challenging terrain and harsh weather conditions to seek the divine blessings of Lord Shiva, making the Amarnath Yatra a profound journey of faith and devotion amidst the breathtaking scenery of the Himalayas.

ITINERARY

Day 1Srinagar – Sonmarg

Upon your arrival at Srinagar airport, you will be greeted by our representative and taken on a scenic drive directly to Sonmarg. The rest of the day is free for you to acclimatize to the altitude and prepare for the following day’s pilgrimage to the sacred Amarnath Cave. Enjoy the serene beauty of Sonmarg, with dinner and an overnight stay provided in this picturesque location.

Day 2Sonmarg/Baltal – Amaranth Cave – Baltal/Sonamarg

After breakfast, we will transfer you to Baltal, the starting point of your spiritual journey to the Amarnath Cave. From Baltal, you can begin your trek to the holy cave, with options like pony rides, pithoos, or palkis available at your own cost for a more comfortable ascent. After completing the sacred darshan, you will return to Baltal and then be transferred back to Sonmarg for a delicious dinner and an overnight stay, ensuring a restful end to your pilgrimage day.

Day 3Sonamarg - Srinagar

After enjoying breakfast at the hotel, embark on a scenic drive to Srinagar. Upon arrival, spend half a day exploring the local sights, including the renowned Mughal gardens of Nishat and Shalimar. Discover the beauty of these historic gardens before heading to the Shankaracharya Temple, perched 1,000 feet above the valley floor on Shankaracharya Hill in the Zabarwan Range. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple offers breathtaking views of Srinagar. Conclude your day with a delicious dinner and an overnight stay at a hotel in Srinagar.

Day 4Srinagar – Excursion to Gulmarg

Today after breakfast, enjoy a picturesque drive to Gulmarg – “Meadow of Flowers”. Enjoy Asia’s Highest Cable Car Project Gulmarg Gondola  – The Gondola offers all tourists, scenic views of  Pir Panjal Mountains and Valley as you head towards Phase 1: KHILANMARG. You may enjoy a Sledge ride or Snow Mobile ride on the snow-covered slopes (on direct payment basis) Later proceed to Srinagar. En-route visit Handloom Emporium. Arrive at Srinagar and Check- in into the Hotel. Overnight stay at hotel in Srinagar. 

Day 5Departure from Srinagar

After a late morning breakfast, Check-out from the hotel and we will drive to the Srinagar Airport, Board your return flight with the sweet memories.
