Early morning, proceed for Mata Vaishno Devi Bhawan- one of the most popular pilgrimages of India situated in the lap of Trikuta Mountains across Katra town at an altitude of around 5200 feet. Yatra upto Bhawan involves a trek of nearly 12 Kms from Katra base camp known as Ban Ganga & 2.5 Kms from Sanji Chhat which is dropping point for pilgrims boarding through Helicopter. You have to hire a local auto rikshaw for reaching Ban Ganga or Helipad available round the clock at very nominal charges. Battery cars, Cable cars, Ponies, Palkis, Pithoos, and Porters etc. are other means of transport during yatra for assisting senior citizens, children and physically challenged persons. After performing darshans, if time permits, visit Bhairo Temple & return back to Katra in the evening. Overnight stay at Katra.
After breakfast in the morning, travel to Shiv Khori, the Holy Cave where Lord Shiva resides and is located 70 kilometers from Katra. The cave, which is almost half a kilometer long and has a naturally formed Shiv-lingam at the center of the Sanctum Sanctorum that is four feet high, is very amazing to witness. After receiving blessings from Lord Shiva, return to Katra in the evening. If you have time, stop at Baba Dhansal, Nau Devi, and Siar Baba Waterfalls while traveling. Spend the night at Katra.
After breakfast, head to Patnitop, a well-known hill resort that is 95 km (3–4 hours) from Katra. It is situated atop a stunning plateau that is 2024 meters above sea level, across which the Jammu–Srinagar Highway runs. See the well-known Patnitop Park, Padora Enclave, and Nag Temple. Travel to Sanasar (20 km/1.0 hr) in the afternoon. It’s a cup-shaped grassland encircled by enormous conifers. Visit Nathatop, another well-known tourist destination, en route. Flying above the valley’s vistas, meadows, and lake allows one to take in the grandeur of Sanasar.
After breakfast, check out from the hotel & proceed for Jammu to drop at Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey with sweet memories of the tour.
